The 570 offers a completely scalable, upgradeable hardware architecture that helps support balanced growth from 2/4-way model 570 all the way to an 8/16-way or a 32/64-way via upgrade to the model 595. Coupled with advanced virtualization technologies, the system i platform runs multiple operating systems and application environments simultaneously - including IBM i5/OS, Linux, IBM AIX 5L, Microsoft® Windows1, JavaT, WebSphere and Lotus Domino software. With the capacity to support up to ten dynamic logical partitions (LPARs) per processor, the System i family can help you simplify your IT environment by allowing you to deploy new applications, consolidate operations and meet service level agreements.
